great story, Asra - what a shame that a school would belittle its highest achievers instead of try to support them and lift them up

My kids, while pretty smart, are (sadly) not hard workers. They would never deserve spots in a top school like this and is they got it, they would fail. One thing that makes me so mad is that people brush off HOW HARD TOP STUDENTS WORK!! Just like with athletics, natural ability only takes you so far. After that, the top students and top athletes are at the top because THEY WORK VERY, VERY HARD. As a society, we are all diminished by punishing those who work hard to achieve. Their achievements benefit everyone, even my lazy kids.
