We don't want judges legislating from the bench...if he can't find authority in state law to bind TJ to merit-based admissions test then he can't find it ..."creating" rules from the bench is a cure worse than the illness. We could pass a law stating that Governor's Schools must use merit-based admission standards in order to be called a Governor's School...if we can get fair-minded people in office in Richmond.

Conservative judge: seems like a bad decision, but that's for the political process, not the courts.
Liberal judge: seems like a bad decision, overturned.
