On Monday, Oct. 31, I posted a video from the Supreme Court to share my experiences, analysis and hopefulness that anti-Asian hate would end in admission to colleges.
Wow. Did I hit a nerve. Thousands cheered the testimonial but in one corner of America I had unwittingly become a target for xenophobia and anti-immigrant, anti-Asian hate. Here is a window into their smears as a way to see that hate still exists not just among “white supremacists” but also “black nationalists.”
Consider yourself warned that they express vile hate but also feel emboldened that they will never prevail in their bigotry.
It took me a day but I figure it out: the haters belong to a group called “Foundational Black Americans” and they have had long battles with black immigrants from the Caribbean and Africa, whom they smear with filthy aspersions. A Reddit post from the trenches challenges them as a hate group. Leaders in the cause are called out for working with white supremacists. And there is a Change.org petition to designate them a hate group.
For now, I will build awareness about them, just as I would a white supremacist group.
Founder: Tariq Nasheed
The founder of “Foundational Black Americans” is a man who describes himself as a filmmaker, Tariq Nasheed. After the attacks on me, I asked a sincere question about why black “anti-racist” activists attack Asian Americans.
He didn’t take kindly to being asked a direct question. I became “this woman” “from India.”

‘…coming to somebody else’s country…’
Among the first of the haters, @PDeniseLong scolded me for “coming to somebody else’s country, suing to destroy things that don’t belong to you,” after having “fled a country ordered by skin color, caste, discrimination, and anti-Black racism.”
Okay. More disturbing: she’s a contributor to Newsweek and a Hill TV show, applauded by the #FBA movement and espousing its xenophobia and bigotry.

Not to exclude, a “Foundational Black American” attacked Jewish people, saying, “Jews are a bunch of yt supremacist with a yamakas.”
